Thank you to our generous donors for the full renovation of the Bodega Dance

The Bodega Danza project began in the summer of 2015 with the full renovation from the bottom up. A new roof was installed, walls were built and a wooden dance floor was placed. All with the generous donation of Circo de los Niños de San Pancho founders and the Cirque du Soleil Foundation whose valuable support made it possible to see the completion of the new Bodega Danza.

In total, the new space which spans more than 450 square meters for dance and theater activities cost approximately $840,000 pesos.  Less than six months after completion, the space is consistently in demand for on-going community classes and events such as Ballet classes for adult and children, Hiphop, Breakdancing, Hindu & Contemporary Dance workshops, Master classes in Mime, Clown and Acrobacia, two live concerts, theater productions and presentations featuring local and international artists. The Bodega Danza project offers an extension of the Circo de Niños school program that includes a more diverse and multi disciplinary experience for the entire community, for all ages.

Donations to the Bodega Danza

We are grateful to our community who contribute by helping us create an adecuate facility for our students. Recent addition of the new dance space means more needs for equipment and material. Thank you to the following for their donations :

Shirley Clement (known as the 60 year old HipHop Dancer & Teacher made famous after a performance and interview on the Ellen Show) is now teaching in the Bodega Danza/Circo. With the donation received from Ellen DeGeneres, she and her husband Don Clements are helping complete the dance studio project with free standing mirrors.

Megan Pepin, Instructor of Ballet for Adults, donated our first free-standing ballet bars for the Bodega Danza.
